The Frog

The frog is an icon for everything we hold dear.

He has big eyes, which to us symbolizes a never-ending search for knowledge and truth. That’s why frogs excel in marketing research roles.

He has a big heart, which to us means even though he is technically a tail-less amphibian, feelings are feelings. He understands human motivations and is in tune with what drives certain behaviors. Ideal resume for a marketing strategist!

He has big ideas, which to us means ideas that sell. Can you say “award-winning creative director?”

Oh… and he tastes like chicken!

Andrea James Iverson – President

Andrea was named president of Love Scott in 2009 and is responsible for the leadership and administration of the agency. Her background and area of expertise is in the public relations field. Her passion for and experience with nonprofit marketing helped develop the nonprofit-focused arm of the agency called (c)3 Marketing.

Andrea graduated from the University of Iowa with a dual degree in journalism and English, with an emphasis in public relations. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and a past board member of the Central Iowa Chapter. She recently joined the board for the West Des Moines Community Schools Foundation. As a long-time volunteer and board member for Meals from the Heartland, the highlight of Andrea’s career to date was traveling to South Africa with KCCI-TV in spring of 2012 to help deliver meals to children and tell the story – an unforgettable personal and professional experience.

Andrea’s greatest pride is her marriage to her husband, Jeff, and being the mother of 2 and step-mother of 3 (yes, that makes 5). She is also an avid reader who enjoys learning about all things health-related, especially if it has to do with chocolate, which she considers one of the main food groups.

Bill Love – Co-Founder

Bill wears several hats at Love Scott. His primary responsibilities center around new business, marketing strategy and the overall administration of the business of the agency.

Bill holds two degrees from Drake University – a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts. While in graduate school at Drake, he began his own advertising agency which, in 1973, was merged to form Love Scott & Associates.

Bill is a past president of the Advertising Club of Des Moines and the Iowa Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He has also served on the boards of directors of the Greater Des Moines Better Business Bureau and the Central Center YMCA.

He has been named “Producer of the Year” by Central Iowans in Radio and Television.

Bill is a family man whose fondest memories are of time spent with his children and, now, his grandchildren. When he’s not bossing others around at the office, he enjoys painting, reading and giving back to others through various mission work in which he is involved.

Adam Jensen – Vice President/Creative Director

As Creative Director, Adam has the ultimate responsibility for the entire creative process, including conceptualization, production supervision and quality control of the creative product.

During his twelve years with Love Scott, Adam has worked in every aspect of the creative department, starting as a graphic designer. As art director, Adam managed the production and coordination of the art department. As our current creative director, he oversees the production of electronic media, interactive design and the art department as a whole.

Adam is a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design. He is a member of the Art Directors Association of Iowa and the American Advertising Federation. He has volunteered creative assistance to the Arthritis Foundation of Iowa, Meals from the Heartland, and House of Mercy.

Adam is a Chicago Cubs and Bears fanatic who is also a fan of anything having to do with sports, design and food (best if simultaneous).

Brianna Dawson – Graphic Designer

Brianna joined Love Scott as graphic designer soon after graduating from Iowa State University with a major in graphic design and a passion for doing meaningful, dynamic, creative work. She supports the creative team with the development of logos and identity systems, posters, brochures, apparel, and more.

One of her most memorable experiences in college was studying abroad for a semester in Rome, Italy. During her stay, she not only learned about art and design in a completely new context, but also a great deal about gelato and pizza – which helped her fit right in with the Love Scott team.

When she’s not adjusting the space between letters or sketching new logo ideas, Brianna enjoys spending time with family, eating cotton candy, making lists, traveling, and baby watching.

Lindsey McKelvey – Social Media Manager

As Social Media Manager, Lindsey interacts with our clients’ consumers on a daily basis. Whether it is promoting upcoming events, sharing facts and inspirational stories or conversing with like-minded followers, she is always on the lookout for engaging conversation. Using platforms like Facebook and Twitter, she stays on top of today’s latest trends to share and discuss them with the proper audiences.

Lindsey previously worked at LoveScott as an Account Coordinator & Media Specialist before relocating to South Dakota. Unable to fully commit to the breakup, she now works remotely from her home in Sioux Falls.

Aside from tweeting, Lindsey spends her time at home and around town with her husband and son. She loves learning how to become a better hippie, her two dogs and eating Indian food. Lindsey also loves to unwind with a nice glass of wine, which she writes about her in Argus Leader wine column.


April Pearson-Williams – Copywriter

April is the newest member of the Love Scott team coming to us with extensive experience developing creative and strategic messaging for a variety of clients. April’s key roles at Love Scott include copywriting for all types of media, brainstorming campaign themes, establishing editorial style guides, and maintaining client brand standards. April also developed a passion for nonprofit marketing while working for fine-arts organizations in Las Vegas. Very ooh-la-la. April is thrilled to be using her skills to truly make a difference in the community through Love Scott and (c)3 Marketing partnerships.

April graduated from Iowa State University with a major in advertising and a minor in English. She reads constantly — everything from classic literature to cereal boxes. But mostly romance novels. She also writes a lot of poetry, short stories, books, stand-up comedy routines about life’s little foibles, and hypothetical awards show acceptance speeches, all of which she will never let anyone read as long as she lives.

She has two adorable children who LOVE being forced to eat healthy and do crafts. As a family, they also enjoy watching movies, visiting coffee shops, and going on adventures.

April fits right in with the Love Scott crew, even if she does have a very strange (in our opinion) aversion to drinking water due to its “terrible taste.” (huh?!)
